    Industry Update

Playstation Vita gets Delayed for Europe and North America

If you guys didn't hear, Sony's new Handheld successor to the PSP, the Playstation Vita, which was due out for the Holiday Season this year worldwide, was delayed until Early 2012 for the European and North American markets. The Japanese version will still be out by the end of this year.. hopefully.. So if you're so eager to get it, Import is the quickest method to get your fix. Otherwise the handheld will still be at it's normal price when it reaches the US at $250 for Wifi and $299 for Wifi/3G.

    Nintendo's Sudden 3DS Price Drop

With dismal sales and fewer people upgrading from their DS Lites/DSis from the first 5 months of their new version of the DS, Nintendo dropped the price by $100 to $149, down from their original price of $250. This price cut helps anyone holding out, but somewhat disappoints current 3DS owners as it is the fastest price drop for any gaming console on market. With that, I can pick one up a little sooner than expected. Now we just hope they figure out a way to make the battery last longer in 3D mode.

Gamers Unite in Disappointment - Development Cancelled for Megaman Legends 3

Announced a couple weeks ago, Capcom halted all development for the much anticipated Megaman Legends 3, the continuation of the Megaman Legends saga. As Capcom's only "non" remake, it strikes another blow to their core fanbase, myself included. The game was supposed to have large amounts of User-Created content and extras by fans themselves with Capcom designing and developing the game. Yet it was all cancelled and everything went for naught. Without Keiji Inafune, Capcom seems to be a bit lost and falling behind on new concepts and games. Even when a partition was setup on Facebook by gamers to add their strength in persuading Capcom to restart development on Megaman Legends, Capcom came out openly and said that they, in no way, will restart development for the game and that their reason for halting production was due to very little help from fans in the User-Created content section. Blaming the fans for the cancellation of a game, kinda doesn't help them gain new fans or keep their old ones happy... I hope they do something in the future to save their ship before it sinks into the abyss of the company closures.
