    Hey Everyone,

Time of the Monthly Update again. And it's a doozy...

Also, if you haven't gotten my last email, our new site is https://tsgaming.forummotion.com/ created by Webmistress, Sarah Helms.

    Event Update

    Duel-Community Night (Saturday, April 9th, 9:00 PM)

At our last event, we came in contact with Thatgamerhub.com for a Duel-Community night this Saturday on Call of Duty: Black Ops for the Xbox 360. We'll be fighting it out in Scrim matches against each other and against other players in matchmaking. We even requested UTPharmboy, a major Black Ops Youtube uploader to join us that day for some extra celebrity talent. Anyone who would like to play with the local Pennsylvania Pod Casters, just Add my gamertag (Nagi Natsukaze) before Saturday and message me to join in. Their site can be found at http://www.thatgamerhub.com

Our main event for the weekend is the Tournaments. With our Highest Prize Ever, 4 Console Arcade Stick (2 PS3, 2 360), we're sure to have quite the turn out. Tournaments this year have been scaled back from 4 to 2, Soulcalibur 4 and Marvel Vs Capcom 3, for the reasons of making them Double Elimination with 2nd place prizes. https://tsgaming.forummotion.com/t8-too-many-games-convention

    Soulcalibur 4 (Saturday, PS3)

100 Hours of Pure Gaming Charity (June 30th, 2011)
Toggle Sticks Photographer, Adam Crean, and Team PXA are going for the World Record for Continuous Platform Gaming as a Group on Halo Reach. All money they raise will go to the Relief Effort in Japan. Current record holds at 50 hours and 1 min according to http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com. The goal they have set is 100 hours of continuous Halo Reach Online Multiplayer. They contacted Bungie, Monster Energy, and several companies to help sponsor. I'll be fighting beside them for 2 days, but my job prevents me from doing the full 100 hours. If anyone would like to help them with the 4 and a half days of gaming, or would like to join them and fight beside them in gaming, Just reply to the thread on our site and they will contact you as soon as they can. https://tsgaming.forummotion.com/t16-100-hours-of-gaming-charity-june-30th-2011#23

Who's needed are Actors, People, Props, People Props, People with Props, Writers and Editors, and Choreographers to help with Fight Scenes. It's Never Too Late To Be Old Skoolin
Lately, Forum Member Path (Evan Parker) has been playing Diablo II with me once I found out that my computer can actually run it without any problems... except for one... Playing on and off for about 2 months, we're already half way through Nightmare Difficulty. Path as a Paladin and myself as a Necromancer, it's an abnormally well balanced team. His tiny hatchet and a simple Life Tap spell decimates everything, even the Act Bosses at Nightmare. Our current levels are around 50, Non-laddered. If anyone wants to blow the dust off their game before Diablo III comes out, just message me on the forums and we'll send you the time and the game we'll be playing in.

    Battlefield Play4Free Review
Path (Evan) also found a free Battlefield game for PC from Electronic Arts. I'm about to download it as soon as this goes out, so I couldn't write much about it, but from what I've seen in the trailers, it looks well worth the free download. Trailer can be found here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZjGrcoo7Ddg

    Path's review of Battlefield Play4Free:
"It is a spiritual successor to Battlefield 1/2 putting you in modern combat areas, with modern weapons. I think there are only 4 maps, but all give you the capability to pilot a tank, jeep, and fighter aircraft. The graphics are lacking but the controls are solid, but a bit difficult to get used too, if you are a console gamer."

You can get the game here: http://battlefield.play4free.com/en/

    Close Game
Had a close game with Adam Crean last week, very teeter-totter right up to the end. First game of the night, so a little shaky at the beginning.
Me and White Dragon + 2 randoms
    vs.
    A team of:

    1 General Grade 4
    1 Hero
    1 Legend
    +1 lucky ass random

At the end of the game, I engage them in 1v2, my DMR vs their DMR and Sniper from Sniper Balcony to High Road. I was able to aggressively push them back, but couldn't finish them off.. Out of nades, the game ends with my team getting rocketed for the loss.

Aside from that, the game was fairly good for first game.

The Game can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZC3ctRFrTY

    Future Events Update

    Another MvC3 Event
A few of us have been talking with Capital City Gaming at the Harrisburg East Mall about having a Marvel Vs Capcom 3 tournament sometime in June/July. We'll keep you posted when more information is available.

    Madden 2012 Midnight Release Tournament
The other Gamestop at the Capital City Mall would like to hold a Madden 2012 tournament at Midnight of it's release. BUT since I don't know much about Madden, I kinda need help. Anyone who plays Madden, I would LOVE your help planning this event. If you would like to help, please email me back. Madden 2012 releases in August this year.

    Epilogue

That's that, April's update is finished. I hope to see you guys this weekend for the Duel-Community Weekend and we'll send out an event update about a week before the Too Many Games Convention.

    Until Next Time,

    Joseph "Crynocent" Herchelroath
